Uninstalling doHOOPS:
If you've entered any game stats or player info you'd like to keep, back up your database first! Then uninstall the software, using the Windows Add/Remove software feature.

Your current doHOOPS database will not automatically be removed. This protects you from accidentally losing your stats (and means that normally, your current stats will still be available for you if you reinstall the software later).

Completely removing your database when you uninstall doHOOPS can easily be done manually -- just contact us for details.

Installing doHOOPS (all versions) and doUPLOAD

    Upgrading from version 1:
  • If you already have version 1 installed on your computer: We recommend making sure you don't have any uncompleted games suspended and waiting to be resumed. All games should be 'over' (it's not necessary that the stats be marked as "final", however) before you install version 2. (Click the Game Control button on the Main Court to see the list of any uncompleted games.) In most cases, uncompleted games suspended by version 1 and resumed by version 2 will resume normally, however we do recommend this step.
  • If you're installing doHOOPS version 2, you do NOT need to uninstall version 1 first -- but we highly recommend that you back up your current database before beginning the install process. It only takes a minute, and will provide you the option of completely returning to version 1 with your existing stats.
  • However, if you've installed version 2 but now want to reinstall version 1 instead, you must uninstall version 2 first, before beginning your version 1 reinstallation. (You don't need to remove your database manually, but you must use the Windows Remove Software feature to uninstall doHOOPS version 2, or your version 1 reinstallation will not run properly.)
  • If you had doHOOPS version 1 installed on your computer before installing version 2, your software status (registered or trial period, and the number of days left in your trial period) will remain the same for version 2. Please contact us if you have any questions.
    General instructions:
  • Shut down any programs currently running on your PC (this is generally recommended whenever you install any software) before you begin the installation process.
  • After you've finished installing doHOOPS, a doHOOPS shortcut will appear on your desktop and your Programs menu will show a doHOOPS programs group. (doUPLOAD does not install a desktop icon, and it will not show up in your Programs menu, since it runs entirely from within doHOOPS.)
Installing from a downloaded setup file:
  • Download the setup file for the doHOOPS or doUPLOAD version you want to install.
  • Run the downloaded setup file to start the installation process.
  • Follow the displayed instructions as doHOOPS or doUPLOAD installs.
Installing from a CD (applies only to doHOOPS):
  • Load the doHOOPS CD into your CD-ROM/DVD drive.
  • Use the Windows Add/Install Programs feature to run the setup program on the doHOOPS CD.
  • Follow the displayed instructions as doHOOPS installs.

  • NOTE: In some operating systems the person installing this software must be logged on with administrative rights.
