A doHOOPS TIP:

Shot Locations, Layups, and Points in the Paint:
doHOOPS creates "layups" and "points in the paint" stats automatically, based solely on the locations of the shots you enter. (So if you don't record a shot location for a field goal, that field goal will not be...

Game lineups:

Fast lineup creation.

Up to 24 players allowed on each team's lineup for a game.

Set up games in advance, then quickly make corrections to the lineup just before the game starts. (Or even after -- it's easy to add or remove players and to correct jersey numbers.)

Try doHOOPS:

Software by:

Flexibility in which stats you record and how you record them, built-in checks to help keep your stats accurate, and smart automation are all doHOOPS hallmarks, to give you a powerful, flexible, and accurate way to record detailed game stats as they're happening on the court in front of you.

You make the rules

doHOOPS uses your rules when recording games. Set up basic information, like period length and player foul warnings, and also choose from options for tracking detailed stats (like forced and unforced turnovers, points off turnovers, and second-chance points), or activating automated putbacks processing.

Using your voice -- speech recognition and doHOOPS:

With a quality headset microphone, you can tell doHOOPS 'who' and 'what' you want to record, instead of using your mouse or keyboard. (Or you can use your voice in combination with your mouse and keyboard --doHOOPS never minds if you mix and match game recording methods.)

doHOOPS makes it easy

Built-in brainpower that works to make your life easier and help prevent errors in your stats:

  • Automated handling of assists, rebounds, steals, and turnovers. Optional automated putbacks handling.Automatic foul-outs.
  • Automatic point calculation from the shot location.
  • Automatic tracking of player minutes.
  • Flexible player substitution methods help you get players on the court fast, even in the middle of recording other actions.

How easy?

As easy as Who (a player's jersey number), What (an action like "steal" or "miss"), or Where (a spot you click on the court). Just start with any of those three things, and doHOOPS will ask you everything else it needs to know. Click on the doHOOPS court, click on a player, drag-and-drop a player, type a jersey number or an action shortcut like "s" for steal. Or, if you're speaking to doHOOPS, you can just say a jersey number or an action. You can use any method at any time during the game, interchangeably, so you don't have to remember complicated instructions.

Making corrections

An on-court trash basket lets you instantly throw away the last recorded action -- and the action before that, as far back as you need to go. You can also quickly change the point value recorded for any shot. And at half-time or after the game, you can easily find and fix practically everything, from lineups to mixed-up player minutes to missing shot locations to forgotten assists.

Add stats for games not recorded by doHOOPS

There are two ways to add games manually to doHOOPS by typing in stats. You can add detailed stats by creating a special "non-interactive" game (which will allow that game's stats to be included in season and career stats and to be available for all other doHOOPS reports that don't require doHOOPS' own behind-the-scenes game action records).

Or you can create an "empty" regular doHOOPS game without any score or other recorded actions, and add the stats as corrections through the Actions window, using any of the Actions methods for adding and correcting stats. Games added using this method will be available for use by all doHOOPS reports.
